2010 Tournament Schedule is posted!!

The Parks and Complexes in Northern Indiana will be offering a new program that will reward teams that play NSA N. Indiana. In 2009, Indiana teams will be awarded points based on order of finish in “ALL” NSA sanctioned events. The purpose of these points is to award “FREE” entry into four (4) NSA events for the 2010 season to the top three (3) point teams in men’s classes “B”, “C”, “D”, and “E”. Based on 2009 tourney entry fees, this will equate to a total of $9,600.00 in FREE entry for 2010!

How does it work? There will be double and triple point tourneys held at the Muncie Sportsplex, CCAC Warsaw, Hidden Lake Merrillville, and Northwest Park Kokomo. There will one event at Hidden Lake that will offer quadruple points. Teams will earn finish and bonus points for playing NSA Super NIT, NSA North Indiana State, NSA Super Regional, NSA World, and NSA Super World. Teams playing in events outside of Northern Indiana will earn placement point at half the value of points given for tourneys played in Northern Indiana.

In addition to points, travel money and/or cash will be awarded in every Northern Indiana points tourney. The payout in these events will range from $50.00 to $100.00 per team in each class going into the pot. For example, in a $100.00 per team payout tourney and if there are 10 teams in the class, the winning team would receive $50.00 per team or $500.00, 2nd place would receive $30.00 per team or $300.00, and the 3rd place team receives $20.00 per team or $200.00. The entry fee for a $100.00 payout will be $250.00. All other events will have a $200.00 entry fee attached with $50.00 per team going back to the teams.

This may appear to be confusing but we plan to keep teams well informed of the points as the weeks progress every week. It goes without saying that the points will be weighted to the parks in Northern Indiana as those are the parks that will be paying the entry fees for the winning teams for the 2010 season.

We encourage teams that have questions to contact Jim Kimmel for the answers. This program is the first of its kind any place in the country and the rewards will be given every week. The grand prize will be the free entry fees but please do not loose sight of the fact that every weekend cash and/or travel money will be awarded. Northern Indiana will be giving back thousands of dollars to the teams that play the NSA program.
